Organizing Content with Tags

Q: “What is a tag?”

A tag is a keyword associated with one or more videos that provides an additional frame of reference. Tags can provide context and associations, and link videos together based on common characteristics.

Q: “What does that mean?”

Well, a video about melting glaciers might have a title of "Here's the Proof!" and a description that might go something like: "A short film on global warming." So if you were searching for videos on glaciers or melting ice caps or rising ocean levels or Greenland, you wouldn't find this video by searching on title or description. However, if the person who uploaded it added tags, you'd have a larger pool of possible search terms.

When you search for videos using the Magnify.net search feature, you are searching using titles, description and tags. Videos may have previously applied tags when they are uploaded into your channel, but as an admin you can add your own tags also.
