Q:“Does Magnify integrate with third party analytics services such as Omniture?”
Magnify takes a flexible approach to integrating third-party tracking and analytics services such as Omniture, and has experience with numerous customer implementations with this toolkit.
Typically, pages on a Magnify channel site can use the same types of Omniture web-page tracking tags as are used on the customer's own web site. This snippet of HTML code, which loads the Omniture JavaScript libraries and triggers the tracking functionality, can be entered in the administration console's "Third Party Analytics" screen to be included on the bottom of every page. (There is also an option to include these tracking tags in every embedded player or embedded widget.)
If needed, Magnify can customize the tracking tags based on which type of page or area of the site the user is on, and embed server-side variables to facilitate collection of things like the currently-playing video's title, the name of the currently logged in user, and so forth.
Magnify provides complete Omniture Integration as an included service for our Enterprise Customers.
Magnify Enhanced Video Analytics (September 2009)
Reporting & Analytics. In addition to our standard analytics package, and the ability to use third party analytics tools such as Omniture & Google Analytics, Magnify is completing development on an enhanced video analytics package that will provide state of the art reporting around video usage, playback, engagement, abandonment, and other core statistics that will help you manage and optimize your video experience for users. The result will be a poweful new statistics package with unique graphing capabilities and a easy to analyze presentation format.
Also as a part of this release, we have also developed an integration into Omniture's in video analytics package as well. This can be configured to record almost any information about user interaction within a video and have that information formated and delivered via omnitures API.
