Transitioning to Magnify
Q: “What are the steps to transitioning to Magnify?” We're glad that you are looking to move your domain over to Magnify. There are a few easy steps to make this happen. First, you're going to need to create a magnify channel. You can create a free channel here. Once you have completed the selection of your site's name, subject matter and design, you will get a confirmation email. Clicking on the link in that email is the final step in the set up process. Once this is done you can move on to setting your domain name to point to your new Magnify channel. To point your domain name to your Magnify Channel: • Login to your eNom account and hover over the menu option DOMAINS• Click My Domains
• Click on the domain name you wish to work with (this takes you to the domain control panel)
• Click on Host Records
• Go to the www record and set the Record Type to CNAME.
• In Address field enter live.magnify.net
• Now go to the @ record and set the Record Type to A (Address)
• In the Address field enter 208.70.246.59
• Click “save” at the bottom right of the page.
• Your domain will now be pointing at your Channel! It may take a few hours for these changes to propagate across the Internet. Last Step: Go to your Magnify channel. Log in and once in site admin, click "Change name or web address" and next to "Custom Domain Alias" add your eNom domain name and click "save".
