Pre-Roll Video Advertising

Magnify allows channel owners who are selling their own pre-roll ad impressions to play those ads before videos that they or their users have upload to their Magnify channel. (At this time, Magnify does not act as a broker or marketplace for video pre-roll advertising.)

We provide three different mechanisms for serving pre-roll ads:

DoubleClick DART
Customers who are already using DoubleClick's DART ad service can use it to traffic and track pre-roll ads; in this configuration, the Magnify channel will make "video ad tag" calls to the DART servers to retrieve information about which pre-roll ad to show, and to pass back the relevant tracking information.

24/7 Real Media OAS
Customers who are using 24/7 Real Media's OAS ad service can use it to traffic and track pre-roll ads; in this configuration, the Magnify channel will make "video ad tag" calls to the OAS servers to retrieve information about which pre-roll ad to show, and to pass back the relevant tracking information.

Magnify Self-Serve Pre-Roll
Customers who are looking for a self-serve solution can use Magnify as their pre-roll ad server; in this configuration, admins can upload one or more video ads and associate them with click-through URLs, and Magnify will play one of those pre-rolls before each video as well as reporting daily impressions and click-throughs.

The pre-roll feature will also enable you to show a video "bumper" or station ID at the beginning of each video, which helps to identify them as being delivered from your channel.

Use of either a bumper, or a pre-roll ad, or both a bumper and a pre-roll ad, will count identically towards the number of pre-roll video plays you have purchased.
